Cast (San Francisco), a jewelry brand which launched in 2021, is marking its first anniversary by opening its first brick-and-mortar location.

The new store is in the The Village at Corte Madera, a shopping center in Marin County, California that’s just north of Cast’s home office.

Backed by venture capitalists, the brand is setting its sights on more than 100 boutiques in North America. All those locales will be designed to evoke a “kid in a candy store” feeling, Co-Founders Rachel Skelly and Eric Ryan say in a press release.

Ryan said the brand has reimagined the traditional jewelry shopping space and created a multisensory experience. “We set out to change the experience of shopping for fine jewelry by shifting the focus to the person wearing the jewelry,” he notes.

The 500-square-foot boutique is designed to engage all senses, where guests are welcomed with a beverage and product menu with pricing info and other details. A signature scent created for Cast by female-founded 12.29 hovers in the air. Custom vignette displays and the capsule centerpiece aim to pique shoppers’ curiosity.

The space was designed by Grow, a women-owned agency based in San Francisco, and “radiates a wonder-filled joyful experience for both experienced jewelry lovers as well as novices,” the retailer says.
