Here’s the latest expansion news from select restaurateurs and grocers:

Carl’s Jr. Hits Milestone in Mexico

CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc. (Franklin, Tenn.) has opened its 400th Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Mexico, in Tampico. CKE, which also operates the Hardee’s brand, entered Mexico in 1991. The company also said it plans to enter the U.K. next year, but offered no details.

Qdoba Enters New State

Qdoba (San Diego), a Mexican fast-casual chain, will take the wraps off its first stand-alone locales in Arizona later this month, with two new restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The new locations join existing, on-campus locations at Grand Canyon University and Arizona State University.

The Fresh Market Opens 2nd Store in Kentucky City

The Fresh Market (Greensboro, N.C.) has cut the ribbon at its second store in Louisville, Ky. The 25,000-square-foot locale, at 4100 Summit Plaza Drive on the city’s northeast side, is the brand’s 165th overall. It joins an existing store at 1805 Rudy Ln.

Naf Naf Grill to Debut at Tennessee Travel Stop

Naf Naf Grill (Chicago), a fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant brand, will open the doors of its latest locale on Dec. 9, at the Love’s Travel Center in White House, Tenn. Located at 1001 Highway 76, the locale is Naf Naf Grill’s 41st nationwide and second in Tennessee. (The other is in Knoxville.) The White House eatery is also the fifth to open in partnership with Love’s, a collaboration that’s slated to grow with additional locations soon to open in California.
