Panera Brands (St. Louis) has named Konrad Meyer as its Chief Financial Officer, according to a company press release.

Meyer joins Panera from JAB Holdings, a German conglomerate headquartered in Luxembourg, where he oversaw the company’s investments in fast-casual restaurants like Panera, Einstein Brothers and Caribou Coffee. Formerly CFO for Pret A Manger, Meyer also spent 10 years with Waterland Private Equity (Bussum, The Netherlands). Meyer replaces Panera’s former CFO Ted Stedem.

“Konrad is a trusted partner and a friend who has extensive industry experience, including numerous financial and investment leadership positions, as well as a deep familiarity with Panera,” says Niren Chaudhary, CEO of Panera Brands and Panera Bread.

Mark Wooldridge, Senior VP, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, who has been with Panera for 16 years, will also assume some CFO responsibilities.

Panera’s 2130 bakery-cafes across the U.S. are independently operated.
