As part of its efforts to energize its brand, Perkins American Food Co. (Atlanta) has unveiled the Perkins Griddle & Go concept, which it said offers “a fresh new take on modern American hospitality that honors tradition while embracing the future.”

Perkins Griddle & Go was designed in partnership with The Aria Group and features a streamlined design and an elevated café experience, all within a compact footprint. The first location of this new concept is set to open its doors in late October 2024. (The company did not reveal specifics.)

The Perkins Griddle & Go model offers a state-of-the-art design that fits seamlessly into various settings, including both traditional street front retail, and non-traditional venues such as airports, casinos, hospitals, hotels, travel plazas, universities, and more. With a footprint of just 1500 square feet and seating for 65 guests, the model retains the essence of Perkins while embracing modern dining trends.

“Perkins Griddle & Go offers the same great value and quality that have made Perkins a beloved brand, now in a more accessible, convenient, and affordable format,” said Toni Ronayne, President of Perkins American Food Co. “We couldn’t be more excited to invite guests into this new model and continue to delight them with high-quality meals at affordable prices that keep them nourished as they go about their busy lives. The smaller footprint model allows us to drive brand growth and to reach guests where they are by expanding into premier real estate including colleges, casinos, c-stores and more.”

Perkins American Food Co., formerly Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, is the latest evolution of the heritage brand founded in 1958. The company operates nearly 300 company-owned and franchise locations across the U.S. and Canada. It is owned by Ascent Hospitality Management.
