PGA Tour Store

St. Augustine, FL

There are golf stores, and then there's the new flagship PGA Tour Store, designed to simulate a real stop on the pro golfing tour. With an authentic putting green, sand traps, a babbling brook, and golf-inspired sound effects, the store sets out to provide customers with an experience that's as close to the real thing as you can get indoors.

The 31,000-square-foot superstore anchors the World Golf Village retail complex in St. Augustine, Fla. Design Forum, Dayton, Ohio, made the store an immersive experience for links-lovers.

Banks of television monitors in the store are tuned in to current televised golf tournaments and the Golf Channel, and a state-of-the-art leader board provides instant updates on golf events around the world. Kiosks allow customers to play the latest interactive golf games.

A stone path that leads customers through a tour of famous holes at top golf courses. Scaled-down replicas of the holes are encased in glass and set into the flooring for customers to view and walk on.

“Champions Corner” is a feature area that showcases items (such as golf balls, scorecards or caps) donated by the winner of that year's PGA Tour. The displayed items are eventually auctioned for charity.

In addition to the expected apparel and gear merchandise, the store also features “The Golfers'Den,” which features home furnishings as well as “The Gallery,” which offers paintings, sculptures and other golf-related artwork.
