Pop Mart (Beijing) has opened its first store in Ohio, in the Kenwood Towne Centre mall in suburban Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. The retailer sells several lines of plush toys, including Labubu, a much-sought-after monkey-like creature with serrated teeth.

Pop Mart – which was named to the “disrupters” category within the latest Time 100 Most Influential Companies for the “ugly-cute” collectibles frenzy it helped create – operates 500-plus stores worldwide. That includes the 30 it’s built in the U.S. since first entering the country in 2023 with an outlet at the American Dream mall in New Jersey. (The company also operates 50-plus of its self-serve Robo Shops in a variety of settings across the U.S.)
