Positive Exhibitor Registration for C-STAR 2020

Exhibitor registration for C-star 2020, Shanghai’s International Trade Fair for Solutions and Trends all about Retail, is going strong: to date, 95% of the booths have been reserved. Over 200 high-quality retail solution providers are expected at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from September 2-4, 2020. The event is organized by Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, the subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf in Germany, renowned as the organizer of EuroShop – the No.1 International Retail Trade Fair.

C-star 2020 will provide a platform for national and international retail solution providers and retailers, feature inspiring and new solutions in Shopfittings and Shop Furnishings, Store Design & Visual Merchandising, Smart Retail Technology, Lighting, Catering & Hospitality Equipment and Refrigeration System. In addition, two special zones – Designer Village and the new H!Tech Hub will showcase innovations in design concepts and world-leading retail technologies.

Ancillary program and new award
The exhibits at C-start 2020 will be complemented by an extensive ancillary program focusing on future trends. New this year will be the EuroShop China RetailDesign Award (ERDA China) based on the EuroShop RetailDesign Award (ERDA). ERDA China was created for the unique needs of the Chinese retail industry with more domestic experts in the jury to award the best store designs in China. The winners will be invited as guest speakers at the C-star Retail Forum and as visitors to EuroShop/EuroCIS in Germany. The award-winning designs will also be entered in the final round of selection for ERDA.

Covid-19 pandemic speeds up digital transformation and demand for smart retail technology

In China, the recovery of retail sales is significantly faster than that of passenger traffic. This is largely due to the developed online retail. The Covid-19 pandemic sped up the transformation of brick and mortar retailers and brands are increasingly using digital tools to attract and connect with consumers.
