PriceSmart Inc. (San Diego) has unveiled plans to open two more stores in Jamaica. The warehouse club operator disclosed those intentions in the news release on its financial results for its fiscal 2025 ending Aug. 31. (For that period, the company reported strong upticks in revenue and net income.)

PriceSmart currently operates two clubs in Jamaica, in Kingston and Portmore. Both this outlets were temporarily closed earlier this week as part of an island-wide shutdown of businesses while Hurricane Melissa made its way through the region. According to the PriceSmart website, both locales are operational again.

Here are details on the additonal stores planned for the country:

• The company has purchased a five-acre site in Montego Bay that will be home to a warehouse club opening in summer 2026.

• The retailer has secured a land lease for a three-acre site on South Camp Road, about six miles southeast of its existing club in Kingston, that will house a club opening in fall 2026.

Also in the retailer’s pipeline is a previously announced sixth warehouse club in the Dominican Republic. Located in La Romana, the club is expected to open in spring 2026.
Once these new locales are open, PriceSmart will operate 59 warehouse clubs in Central America and the Caribbean.
