Ireland-based clothing/home retailer Primark (Dublin) has unveiled plans to open its latest U.S. store at Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, Va., July 16. In addition, the company said it has signed leases at both Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Va., and the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville, Md. (Opening dates for those locales were not disclosed.)

“After a successful recent opening at Arundel Mills [in Hanover, Md.], we’ve seen a growing demand for more Primark stores across the DMV area and especially in the Washington, D.C. metro,” said Primark U.S. President Kevin Tulip. “We’re ready to open our doors in Tysons to bring ‘Primania’ to even more U.S. shoppers, with many Virginia shoppers able to explore the store for the first time.”

The Tysons store has more than 35,000 square feet of space offering fashion and essentials, as well as homewares and beauty. It is the brand’s first store in Virginia and its second in what’s called the DMV area (following the opening at Arundel Mills).

The Tysons Corner Center local will bring Primark to 25 U.S. stores across 10 states, and more than 445 stores globally. Founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, the retailer’s overall growth goal is to reach 530 stores by the end of 2026.
