Prototype Reveals: Jamba, Vitamin Shoppe

A pair of well-known brands are rolling out new looks within their spaces. They are:

Jamba (Atlanta), which has unveiled its next-generation “Hello Sunshine” prototype that includes self-order kiosks, digital marketing screens and streamlined store layouts.

“With the introduction of the ‘Hello Sunshine’ prototype, we are not just investing in the future of our brand and our franchisees, but also in the experience of every guest who walks through our doors,” says Chief Brand Officer Nathan Louer. “We want ‘Hello Sunshine’ to shine through in how we treat our guests, the products we serve, and the spaces they walk into.”

Founded in 1990, Jamba specializes in freshly blended fruit and vegetable smoothies, made-to-order bowls and fresh-squeezed juices and shots. It currently has 780 locations across 34 U.S. states, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Guatemala and Saudi Arabia. It is a unit of GoTo Foods, whose other brands are Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s, as well as the Seattle’s Best Coffee brand on select military bases and in international markets.

And

The Vitamin Shoppe Inc. (Secaucus, N.J.), whose new “Hometown Stores” pairs it with a brand that has its company headquarters and deep roots in the same metro area. That creates “a one-of-a-kind destination for brand enthusiasts and the local wellness community,” the retailer said in a news release.

The Vitamin Shoppe’s partners in this initiative include sports nutrition brands Bucked Up, EHPlabs, Gorilla Mind, RAW Nutrition and RYSE, with more to come. (The EHPlabs locations are dubbed “Community Hubs” since the brand is based in Australia and has selected two U.S. stores with passionate fan bases.)

Each partner brand is allotted 200 square feet or more within a Vitamin Shoppe that features large-scale signage, enhanced fixtures and displays, and custom refrigerators stocked with a given brand’s energy drinks, protein shakes and hydration beverages.
