Saks Global Shakes Up Executive Suite

Moves include three exits and two hires from Bloomingdale’s.

Saks Global (New York) continues to its rearrange and reconfigure its executive ranks to maximize the benefits of its merger with Neiman Marcus, report a variety of sources, including Women’s Wear Daily. The retailer’s most recent moves along those lines include:

Letting go President and Chief Commercial Officer Emily Essner; Chief Transformation Officer Bill Bine; and COO Rob Brooks. Their responsibilities were assigned to remaining executives, and Kim Miller, President of Saks Off 5th, was named Chief Customer Officer, a new role at Saks Global.

• Then, in a subsequent announcement also covered by WWD, Sak Global said it has hired Matt Dunphy for the new role of SVP of Store Growth and Experiences for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, and Christina DeGrezia as VP and General Manager of the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship in Manhattan. Both will report to Mary McGreevy, Chief Stores Officer for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
Dunphy spent the previous 16 years at Bloomingdale’s in various leadership roles, including most recently, VP, Regional Director of Stores for the Northeast and Midwest Regions. DeGrezia is returning to Saks Fifth Avenue after a stint as Bloomingdale’s, where she served as Senior Director, General Manager of that retailer’s 59th Street flagship in Manhattan.
