Miami is slated to get its second Nobu restaurant, at the base of a 74-story tower planned along Biscayne Bay. The restaurant, famed for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Japanese/Peruvian fusion cuisine, is planned for Nobu Hospitality’s 619 Brickell tower, which will also include 300 residence and 90,000 square feet of private amenities, including a spa, fitness center and pool.
.
The tower is being designed by Foster + Partners, in collaboration with Sieger-Suarez Architects, and will blend Nobu’s minimalist Japanese sensibility with the dynamic rhythm of Miami’s skyline, the project partners say in a press release.

The new tower is being developed in partnership with 13th Floor Investments and Key International. A timetable for completing the project was not available.

The first Miami Nobu opened in Miami Beach in 2001. The brand’s second locale in the market is one of several recent and upcoming openings planned by the Nobu chain, which currently has 50-plus restaurants worldwide. According to its website, recent openings by the brand include locales in Bangkok, New Orleans, Manalapan, Fla., Wailea Maui, Hawaii, Rome and North Coast, Egypt, with 2026 openings planned for New Cairo, Egypt and Madrid.
