Seeing Sales Momentum, Kohl’s to Bring Sephora Shop-in-Shops to All Stores

A year since the first Sephora at Kohl’s shop-in-shop launched, the two companies today announced an expansion of the partnership to include all of Kohl’s 1100 locations. There are currently 600 Sephora at Kohl’s stores in operation across the country.

The rollout comes after a strong first year for the joint venture. The first 200 Sephora at Kohl’s stores which opened in 2021, and the nearly 400 opened this year, have seen sales percentages higher than the average attained by Kohl’s stores overall, according to the department store chain.

As Kohl’s expands its Sephora at Kohl’s presence to all locations, each shop-in-shop will aim to mimic the look and feel of a freestanding Sephora.

The retailer says its partnership with Sephora has been mutually beneficial, as roughly half of all customers buying Sephora are attaching a Kohl’s item to their purchase. Sephora at Kohl’s customers also visit Kohl’s stores more frequently than its average customer.
