Shoe Carnival Ceo Lemond Retires

Mark Lemond, ceo, president and director of Shoe Carnival Inc. (Evansville, Ind.) will retire on Oct. 27, citing health concerns. Clifton Sifford, currently executive vp and general merchandise manager, will succeed Lemond and join the retailer’s board.

“The board of directors is grateful to Mark for his many years of leadership,” said board chairperson Wayne Weaver. “Mark’s contributions have helped make Shoe Carnival the successful and innovative retailer that it is today.”

Shoe Carnival also said W. Kerry Jackson, currently executive vp, cfo and treasurer, will become chief operating officer and Timothy Baker, executive vp of store operations, will now oversee all real estate operations.
