Project Scope: For its Studio B flagship in Oak Brook, Ill., golf equipment retailer Bettinardi (Tinley Park, Ill.) worked with design firm RGLA Solutions (Schiller Park, Ill.) to build a uniquely tailored golf experience that speaks to the brand’s values of heritage, craftsmanship, innovation and creativity. With a street location secured near the Oakbrook Mall, the design needed to convert an office and training facility into a high-end experiential golf boutique. Ultimately, the flagship “stemmed from the desire to create an elevated golf boutique experience that celebrates the Bettinardi brand and its tour-quality, performance-based putters and wedges while also offering pro-level fittings,” says Ivelisse Ruiz, Vice President, Design and Brand Marketing, RGLA Solutions.

BEFORE

Unique Characteristics: Technology was a key component of the design, creating experiential spaces for customers to try gear and merchandise without leaving the store. While cutting-edge technology aids the customers with purchases, high-end materials and luxe finishes create an ambience of quality craftsmanship. An exclusive in-store space called the “Hive” is “a special vault dedicated to exhibiting high-end putters and exclusive headcovers,” says Anna Bullis, Designer, Environmental Design Manager, RGLA Solutions. “This unique space will showcase the pinnacle of craftsmanship, where golfers can marvel at exclusive creations and limited-edition models.”
