Target (Minneapolis) is planning to increase the pay of its store and service center employees who pick up shifts by $2 during the peak holiday season in the weeks leading up to Christmas, CNBC reports.

Specifically, those who work on Saturdays and Sundays between Nov. 20 and Dec. 19, Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, will be eligible for the pay increase. Target said some employees at its headquarters may also qualify. Between Oct. 10 and Dec. 18, hourly store chain employees may also receive the additional pay.

Previously, Target said it would scale back its hiring of seasonal workers and instead focus on giving more hours to its current 300,000 store employees.
