The House of Harry Winston (New York), has opened its first retail salon in Nanjing, China. Located in the Deji Plaza, a luxury shopping destination in Xinjiekou, the 2300-square-foot salon houses the brand’s jewelry and timepiece collections.

“Nanjing is renowned for its role in research, education and tourism, and today, we are proud to deepen our roots in a city that is known for its rich history and culture, as we continue to bring the Harry Winston brand to new audiences throughout the country,” said House CEO Nayla Hayek.

Designed to create the elegance and intimacy of a private estate, the ground-level space’s facade bears the brand’s signature navy blue and gold. The interior features a soft grey color palette complemented by custom-designed lacquer, antique bronze furniture and bespoke crystal chandeliers, along with a black and white starburst motif. Dedicated galleries highlight the breadth of the House’s offerings, from one-of-a-kind high jewelry to wedding day jewels.

In honor of the Nanjing opening, the space also features a custom piece of artwork that marries signature elements of the Winston brand with the rich culture of Nanjing. The whimsical illustration depicts two lion statues adorned in gold before the iconic Winston gates and surrounded by beautiful plum blossoms, the symbolic flower of China, while birds in flight represent the union between the brand and the city.

The Nanjing locale is the brand’s seventh in Mainland China and 45th overall.
