Thomas Pink (London) has been acquired by two New York-based companies: Icon Luxury Group and CP Brands Group. Founded in 1984, this latest chapter for the brand will involve “expanding its footprint while staying true to its British roots and legacy of excellence,” the buyers said in a news release.

“Thomas Pink is a symbol of British sophistication and craftsmanship,” CP Brands Group CEO Eli Yedid said in that statement. “We are excited to welcome the brand into our portfolio. Our vision is to build on its heritage through key licensing agreements with best-in-class companies across categories spanning fragrances, eyewear and more. Through strategic agreements, we are bringing the brand back to key regions, including the U.K., Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Mexico.”

In its coverage of the deal, Women’s Wear Daily noted that one-time owner LVMH quietly sold the brand to private equity in 2021. It eventually ended up in the hands of creditor banks, who sold it to Icon and CP for an undisclosed price.

In an interview with WWD, Yedid said the plan is to open five stand-alone stores over the next three years, including locales in the Middle East and Asia.

Icon Luxury is a distributor whose partners include Armani, Boss, Diesel, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli and Salvatore Ferragamo, among others, while CP Brand Group’s portfolio includes Avalanche Outdoor Supply Co., Crossover Culture, Cutie Pie, John Deere, RBX and Wrangler.
