Ulta Scraps Canadian Expansion

Retailer will focus on growing U.S. business

Beauty retailer Ulta Cosmetics (Bolingbrook, Ill.) has put its planned expansion into Canada on hold, reports MarketWatch. The move will cost Ulta between $55 million and $65 million, which will be recognized in 2020.
Instead the retailer will focus on U.S. growth in the form of new stores and digital and market share growth.
