Continuing its tradition of showcasing the works of prominent artists, Sony Style featured a series of windows and in-store promotions based on the “customized dreams” artwork of Pop-Surrealist Kenny Scharf. The promotion included Sony Style windows on Madison Avenue, an in-store display of soft goods designed by Scharf and a display of his paintings, sculptured fiberglass totems and a customized 1961 Cadillac in the store's public space. A shopping bag and exterior awnings on the storefront were also a part of the promotion. For the window displays Scharf customized Sony products and set them against colorful backdrops reproduced in Scotchprint vinyl.
