VMSD Honors Three Retailers for VM, Design Excellence

VMSD magazine honored three retailers with its Excellence in Visual Merchandising and Design award during PAVE’s (Planning and Visual Education Partnership; Hollywood, Fla.) Holiday Celebration, which took place Dec. 8, 2021, at The Michael Kors Building at God’s Love We Deliver, New York.

Jennifer Acevedo, VMSD Editor-in-Chief/Associate Publisher, and Murray Kasmenn, Vice President/Group Brand Director, SmartWork Media, presented the coveted crystal apples to Petco (San Diego), for its Reddy SoHo flagship; London Jewelers, Manhasset, New York; and Manolo Blahnik for its flagship on Madison Ave.

The award was created in 2006 to honor retailers’ dedication to and investment in visual merchandising programs to elevate their store environments and amplify the customer experience. Past winners include Timberland, FAO Schwarz, Nike, Chanel, Anthropologie and Cartier.

Renowned architect and designer Kevin Roche also shared highlights of his 40 years of experience as a global design citizen creating experiences like LVMH’s recent renovation of the historic La Samaritaine department store in Paris.
