Von Maur Department Store (Davenport, Iowa) plans to open two mall-based stores in the coming months. The retailer, which currently operates 37 locales in 15 states, said its newest ones will be in South Hills Village in suburban Pittsburgh (opening fall 2024) and at West Acres Mall in Fargo, N.D. (spring 2025).

In addition, Von Maur is in the midst of a $100 million renovation of its existing stores over the next five years.

The company disclosed plans for its newest stores in a news release announcing that it will begin carrying select goods from outdoor retailer L.L. Bean (Freeport, Maine).

“Wholesale partnerships continue to be an important part of how we make the L.L.Bean brand accessible to customers across the U.S. and advance our purpose of enabling people to experience the restorative power of being outside,” said Charlie Bruder, VP of Wholesale at L.L.Bean. “As we evaluate potential wholesale partnerships through our brand lens, Von Maur’s retail expertise, values and commitment to customer service made it feel like a natural fit for L.L.Bean.”

L.L.Bean operates 57 stores of its own in 19 states across the U.S., along with 22 in Japan and 13 in Canada in partnership with Jaytex Group.
