Walmart Names Chief Merchant for U.S.

Walmart U.S. (Bentonville, Ark.) has named Duncan Mac Naughton as chief merchandising officer, responsible for all merchandise categories across the retailer’s 3700-plus domestic stores, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Mac Naughton joined the mass merchant in 2009 as chief merchandising officer of Walmart Canada and was promoted to executive vp of merchandising for Walmart U.S., responsible for consumables, health and wellness and walmart.com. Prior to joining Walmart, he held executive positions at Kraft Foods, H.E. Butt Grocery Company and Albertson’s.

Mac Naughton will report to Bill Simon, president and ceo of Walmart U.S.
