Zippo/Case Visitors Center

Bradford, PA

Published

on

For Zippo lighter devotees, Mecca is Bradford, Pa. — home of the company's factory and the newly opened Zippo/Case Visitors Center. The center includes a Zippo museum, where visitors see exhibits on the lighter's 65-year history (all including perforated-metal trim reminiscent of the Zippo's signature windscreen). Other attractions include a replica of the 1947 touring commercial “lighter car ” and the repair shop where the lighters have been repaired for free since the company's founding in 1932. The 10,000-sq.-ft. center also includes a gift shop for mavens of the lighters as well as Case knives, made by a Zippo subsidiary.
