Cincinnati, OH – October 10, 2002 – The 3rd annual VM+SD International Retail Design Conference heads back to the East Coast in 2003. Today, ST Media Group International and VM+SD magazine announced that next year's VM+SD International Retail Design Conference will be held September 17-19, 2003, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
The 2002 conference recently took place September 18-20 at the Pasadena Conference Center in Pasadena, California. More than 600 retail design professionals took part in the 2nd annual event. Attendees heard a variety of speakers, including retail consultant and publisher Kurt Barnard; Barneys'creative director Simon Doonan; Nike creative executive John Hoke III; Peter Dixon of Lippincott & Margulies; Michael Bodziner of Gensler; Michael Fisher of Apple Computer; Christine Belich of Sony; Heather Amuny-Dey of Nike; Tim Heard of E*TRADE Financial; Chip Israel of Lighting Design Alliance; Tony Mancini of Walt Disney Imagineering and Parks & Resorts; Steve McGowan of FRCH Design Worldwide; and N.V.R. Nathan of the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Hyderabad, India.
Many who came to Pasadena praised the three-day educational and networking event.
