A new, swanky hotel is coming to Las Vegas, and it’s bringing its own retail district with it.
The two-level shopping center at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas will span 90,000 square feet and include 35 luxury retail stores, the hotel’s developer announced.
The project’s “unique vertical design gives us great creative flexibility when it comes to our retail space,” says Fontainebleau Development President Brett Mufson. The design, he adds, will blend “different programmatic elements throughout Fontainebleau Las Vegas, rather than keeping them separate” to enhance the experience of window shopping.
The developer is also promising “unprecedented and exposure and foot traffic” for retail tenants on account of their proximity to the hotel’s 173,000-square-foot casino and dining experiences.
Peter Arnell will lead property-wide branding and design for Fontainebleau Development. The company is also partnering with Rockwell Group, a New York-based retail and hospitality design firm, and London-based David Collins Studio.
The hotel is scheduled to open in the winter of 2023.
