5 Star Plus is excited to announce one of their latest store designs with PUREONES in Beijing, China. Jin Xiuqi’s luxury retail brand was created so men can take pride in what they wear and bring China into the global marketplace for fashion. PUREONES creates high-end clothing while simultaneously representing their concept store’s Taoist values. 5 Star Plus worked to create a store design that would complement PUREONE’s unique brand image by embodying the Yin and Yang of Chinese culture.
The retail design of PUREONES’ concept store values balance, nature and Taoist ideals. 5 Star Plus wanted to create a store design that was balanced itself and also balanced the products. Everything from the color scheme to the materials used were chosen to complement each other. 5 Star Plus created a large ceiling fixture which becomes the central focus of the interior. Creating the ceiling fixture out of a bronze metal mesh material helped make sure it creates a warm and dynamic atmosphere in the retail store that encourages people to enter and browse at their own leisure. To further balance out the unique designs, high-end wood and stone were used in the flooring and ceiling to make sure the store design remains naturally balanced. The color scheme was carefully selected to create harmony within the store design, a state which is highly valued in Chinese culture. The store design uses a warm natural color palette inspired by Chinese rice fields and water which allows the clothes to be the main focus in the store. The colors represent water and sun, Heaven and Earth, and Yin and Yang that PUREONES values.
Inspired by the curves found in Chinese rice fields, rivers, mountains and forests and following the Taoist tenets, 5 Star Plus was able to create a store design that complimented the PUREONES brand image. The store design is refreshing and natural. By balancing unique ceiling fixtures with natural materials and using browns and golds with blues and oranges will create a store design that is engaging and harmonious.
