Alex and Ani to Open 27 New Stores

Alex and Ani (Cranston, R.I.) expects to open 27 new stores by the end of the year, bringing its total door count to 90, reports Women’s Wear Daily. Most of those stores will be company-owned.

The jewelry company, which got its start selling bangles adorned with different themed charms, says it will continue with openings at a rate of about 25 to 30 stores per year, most of them in the 100-square-foot range.

New markets for the company will include Southern California, Chicago, Ohio and Wisconsin, along with more stores in Texas. Hawaii will see a second door in January.
