Alliance Bridges Gap Between "Bricks" and "Clicks"

The National Retail Federation (NRF), the world's largest trade organization, entered into a “strategic alliance” with Shop.org, a trade association for online retailers, to provide a more comprehensive range of services to members — be they stores, catalog or Internet merchants.

According to the associations, the alliance helps members of both groups access a wide range of aggregated resources, including conferences, industry research and publications, member-only forums, networking, government relations, industry representation and special business discounts.

Shop.org will retain its name, board of directors, staff and location, and operates as a separate division of the NRF.
