Amazon Launches Private-Label Fashion Brands

Amazon (Seattle) has launched at least seven exclusive, private-label fashion brands, encompassing about 1800 products spanning children’s clothes to men’s suits and accessories.

The brands include Franklin & Freeman, Franklin Tailored, James & Erin, Lark & Ro, North Eleven, Scout + Ro, and Society New York.

Retail Dive notes that the company has not heavily publicized the launch of these lines, which perhaps is due to the fact that entry into the apparel industry is tricky, especially when purchased online and coupled with the high costs of apparel returns.
