Amazon Orders Employees to Mask Up

Amazon (Seattle) has ordered all of its U.S. employees to wear masks at work regardless of their vaccination status, reports Reuters. Amazon has extended its remote work dates for U.S. workers until Jan. 3.

“We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to follow local government guidance and work closely with leading medical healthcare professionals, gathering their advice and recommendations as we go forward to ensure our buildings are optimized for the safety of our teams,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement Friday.

Last month, Google and Facebook, both Alphabet Inc. companies, required its U.S. employees to be vaccinated before returning to offices. Twitter went a step farther, shutting down its reopened U.S. offices.
