American Apparel Launches Mobile Store in Japan … and More Industry News

MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Euclid Elements (Palo Alto, Calif.), a provider of consumer analytics to physical retailers, appointed Sandra Dolan as vp of sales.

Gavin Brydon, will assume the function of chief operations officer of Tridonic, the Dornbirn, Austria-based lighting manufacturer, on June 1. Brydon succeeds Rüdiger Kofahl, who left the company in January.

STORE OPENING

Pittsburgh-based Bruster's Real Ice Cream opened its first international location in Georgetown, Guyana. W&T George and Company Ltd. signed a master franchise agreement with Bruster's Real Ice Cream to open the location in an expanding downtown area.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Superga, the Italian sneaker company led by creative directors Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen and Steve Madden, will open its first U.S. store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Jack in the Box Inc. announced that AJP Enterprises Inc. acquired 26 Jack in the Box restaurants and Northwest Food Management Group Inc. acquired 11 Jack in the Box restaurants.

Los Angeles-based American Apparel launched a new mobile store serving Japan at mobile.americanapparel.co.jp. It marks the company's first venture into the mobile e-commerce space.

Amerlux’s (Fairfield, N.J.) vp of international sales Ted des Enfants has relocated from Tampa, Fla., to the company’s headquarters in Fairfield, N.J., where he will lead sales, marketing and product development efforts from a corporate level.

Dave Hood, San Francisco Bay area designer of trade show and museum exhibits, has launched a new organization called Hood Branded Environments (San Francisco) to focus on engagement marketing. In addition, Hood has hired Mike Goefft as chief marketing officer.

Davaco Inc. (Dallas) has set up an operational division in Canada that can support global consumer brands with multi-unit programs in provinces throughout Canada. The offices are located near Toronto at 460 Brant Street, in Burlington, Ont.
