And Even More Banks

Jos. A. Bank (Hampstead, Md.) opened a new store in Rochester, N.Y., the first of what the menswear retailer says will be at least 20 new stores in fiscal 2002.

The store, in Pittsford Square, is Bank's second store in the Rochester market and its fourth in Upstate New York.

“Our brand recognition is increasing as we continue to open new stores throughout the country,” said ceo Robert Wildrick. “Upstate New York is becoming a strong region for us and we expect to open more stores in the region in 2002. We expect to open at least 20 new stores this year as we continue to gain market share.”

The 97-year-old company has 136 stores across the nation.
