Anthropologie to Open in Toronto

Urban Outfitters Inc. (Philadelphia) has announced it will open an Anthropologie store in Toronto. The store, on Yorkville Avenue in the city’s trendy shopping district, will be the retailer’s first in Canada.

The flagship store will be about 12,000 square feet split between two levels at the corner of Yorkville and Bellair Street, in a new mixed-use development combining retail and residential condominiums. Among other retailers confirmed to be building flagships at the site are Teatro Verde, a Canadian gift and garden shop, and Sunglass Hut, which is building a two-level store.
