Asian Office

Office Depot Inc. (Delray Beach, Fla.) has named Teddy Chung as its senior vp and managing director, Asia, a new position within the company. Chung will be based in Shanghai, China, and report to Charles Brown, the office supplies retailer’s president, international.

Chung joins Office Depot from office products manufacturer Avery Dennison Corp. (Pasadena, Calif.), where he was most recently senior vp, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

Chung will be responsible for leading Office Depot's business in Asia, including managing the company's retail, delivery and e-commerce operations in Japan; overseeing the recent acquisition of Best Office Co. in South Korea; and continuing to grow Office Depot's presence in this region from both an operating and product sourcing perspective.
