Bagging the Movie Customer

The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. (A&P, Montvale, N.J.) has announced an agreement with TNR Entertainment Corp. (Houston) to install The New Release automated DVD rental kiosks in 30 A&P and SuperFresh locations throughout Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The A&P kiosk installations are scheduled for completion by the end of the month.

The New Release kiosks accept credit or debit cards to allow customers to browse and select DVD titles on The New Release's touch-screen at the rate of $1 day. Customers have until midnight on the following day to return the rented DVD before incurring a second day's rental fee.
