Balenciaga Renovates Paris Flagship

Balenciaga (Paris) renovated its flagship store in Paris on Rue Saint-Honoré and reopened yesterday. The 3200-square-foot store, which was designed by Demna Gvasalia, is meant to resemble a clothing warehouse with an industrial, factory feel.

Clothes hang on industrial conveyor rails, the ceilings are covered in aluminum foil and the walls in the changing rooms are made from cast concrete, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

As for furnishings, benches are upholstered with synthetic leather, curtains in the changing rooms are made of silicone and accessories are displayed on long, aluminum tables. The store originally opened in 2012.
