Balenciaga Taps New Executive

Balenciaga (Paris) has announced the appointment of Cédric Charbit as ceo, replacing Isabelle Guichot.

Charbit is currently evp of product and marketing at Yves Saint Laurent, according to Women’s Wear Daily, where he was promoted in May from director of product strategy. Previously, he was deputy general manager at Emilio Pucci.

Guichot will take on new responsibilities within Kering, the French parent of Balenciaga, Gucci, YSL, Puma and other brands.
