BCBG Heads to India

BCBG Max Azria (Los Angeles) has signed a long-term franchise agreement with Reliance Brands Ltd. (Mumbai) to open and operate stores in that country. According to the Times of India, BCBG will be the first women's-only apparel brand in Reliance's portfolio, which includes Kenneth Cole, Diesel and Brooks Brothers, Zenga, Ed Hardy, Mossimo, Material Girl and others. Reliance will open stand-alone stores of BCBG Max Azria, the company's flagship label, and BCBGeneration, the brand's lower-priced, youth-oriented label. The first stores will open in 2015.
