Benetton Names Head of U.S. Division

Ari Hoffman has been named president and ceo of Benetton’s U.S. operations, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Hoffman replaces former president Carlo Tunioli, who will now become senior vp of communications for North America. Hoffman’s career includes serving as ceo of Gant USA from 2000 until October 2011, when he was named ceo of Gant Latin America.

The Treviso, Italy-based company reported earlier this month that its Edizione Srl holding company will launch a tender offer and delist Italian clothing and textile manufacturer Benetton Group.
