Benihana Inc. (Aventura, Fla.) has opened its latest restaurant in Temecula, Calif. The new restaurant, Benihana’s twelfth in Southern California, features a cocktail bar, lounge, 21 teppanyaki tables and a dedicated to-go and delivery entrance.
“This is our first Benihana in Riverside County, so we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our Temecula friends and neighbors to celebrate with us as we open our doors to our iconic dining experience,” said President and CEO Tom Baldwin, whose company operates restaurants under the Benihana, RA Sushi and Samurai flags.
The company also detailed its expansion plans for the next several months, with the planned openings of these locales:
• Benihana Bayside Marketplace in Miami is slated to open this fall on Biscayne Boulevard;
• RA Sushi in Plantation, Fla., is set to open in early 2024 with 3800 square feet housing 34 tables, a full-service sushi bar and dedicated area for take-out and delivery business;
• Benihana, in San Mateo, Calif., is scheduled to open in spring 2024 with 18 teppanyaki tables and a full-service sushi bar.
Benihana operates more than 100 restaurants under its three brands in the United States, Caribbean, Central America and South America.
