Bergdorf Goodman completes first phase of men’s remodel

The first phase of Bergdorf Goodman’s (New York) men’s wear emporium renovation of its third floor contemporary designer space has been completed with the unveiling of the Lanvin shop. This is part of the first remodel since the men’s store opened in 1990.

The Lanvin shop features a retro-modern environment, including weathered European oak parquet floors and cascade coil metal drapery, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

As part of the yearlong project, the windows to the street will be exposed and the selling space will become more open.

“This store has a 100 percent focus on the man and how he shops,” says Ginny Hershey-Lambert, executive vp of merchandising for Bergdorf’s, in a WWD article.

The Prada men’s shop is expected to be completed by the end of December. The entire third-floor renovation is expected to be finished by fall 2012.
