Bruce Pask, a fashion writer and editor with the New York Times, has been named the new men’s fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman (New York).
Pask will report to Linda Fargo, senior vp of the fashion office and store presentation, with responsibility for all seasonal trend messaging, assortment selection, private label development and in-store styling, in cooperation with the retailer’s visual teams.
It’s a new position for Bergdorf’s. The duties had previously fallen under the purview of Neiman Marcus’ men’s fashion area. (Both retailers are part of The Neiman Marcus Group.) But Matthew Singer, the group’s men’s fashion director, resigned last year.
Pask had been men’s fashion director for T: The New York Times Style Magazine since 2006, and had been with Cargo and GQ magazines before that. But he has also worked as a freelance stylist for brands such as Brioni, Todd Snyder and Perry Ellis, as well as a costume designer for Broadway plays and television shows.
