Bidding for Jillian’s

Jillian’s Entertainment Holdings Inc. (Louisville, Ky.) received a $65 million bid for the sale of all its assets during an auction conducted on Sept. 21, 2004.

The operator of about 35 restaurant and entertainment complexes in 20 U.S. states filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May.

The highest bid was jointly submitted by Dave & Buster’s Inc. (Dallas) and Gemini Investors III L.P. (Wellesley, Mass.). The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky in Louisville has tentatively scheduled a hearing for today to approve the sale. If approved, the parties intend to close the sale by the end of October.
