Boscov's Promotes Jim Boscov

Department store Boscov’s (Reading, Pa.) promoted Jim Boscov, a member of its founding family, to vice chairman.

Previously serving as assistant to the chairman, his responsibilities included advertising, special projects, recycling initiatives and director of leased departments. He will continue in those areas as well as handle e-commerce. The promotion positions Boscov as the prime candidate to be the next chairman and ceo, notes a WWD article.
