Brooks Brothers Entering Indian Market

New York-based Brooks Brothers Group is partnering with Reliance Brands Ltd. to open monobrand stores in India, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The first three stores are expected to open this fall in Chandigarh, Elante and Delhi, with multiple units in the country’s 10 largest cities added within three years.

Under the terms of the deal, Brooks Brothers will hold a 51 percent equity stake and Reliance, part of the Reliance Industries Group, will own 49 percent.
