Burger King Pushes International Expansion

Burger King Worldwide (Miami) is partnering with Rancak Selera Sdn Bhd (Rancak Selera) to further expand its brand presence in Malaysia and Singapore. Through a Master Franchise and Development Agreement, Rancak Selera will expand the Burger King brand in both countries over the next 20 years, QSR Magazine reports. BKW also has sold 41 company-owned restaurants in Singapore to the company, which is part of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad’s (Ekuinas) portfolio of companies and the current Burger King franchisee in Malaysia.

Since opening its first Burger King restaurant in Malaysia in 1997, Rancak Selera has grown the brand’s presence in the country to 32 outlets.
