Burger King (Miami, Fla.) is experimenting with delivering its fare straight to consumers’ doorsteps, the company reports. With a minimum order of $10, food can be ordered from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. using the ‘BK Delivers program.’ The service is currently offered in Miami, Fla. and Washington, D.C., as well as internationally in Turkey, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Mexico. In Houston, the fast-food company plans to have nine participating restaurants by the end of year, serving both Harris and Fort Bend counties.
“We are thrilled to expand the BK Delivers test to Texas’ largest city. Our goal has always been to provide excellent service and great tasting food to our guests. After seeing the success this program has experienced […], we are excited to bring this convenience to Houston,” says Alex Macedo, senior vp and general manager of U.S. franchise business of Burger King Worldwide.
