Oakley Inc. (Foothill Ranch, Calif.), producer of high-performance sunglasses and goggles, announced a partnership with Macy's West, a subsidiary of Federated Department Stores (Cincinnati), to install in-store concept shops in five locations by May 2002.

Each shop will feature a complete selection of Oakley's products, including eyewear, footwear, apparel and watches. The five Macy's locations will be in Union Square, San Francisco; Valley Fair, Santa Clara, Calif.; South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Beverly Center, Los Angeles; and Ala Moana, Honolulu.

Each in-store shop will showcase Oakley doublewide eyewear towers, and branded footwear and apparel rocket displays to communicate the brand across all product categories.

“Our new partnership with Macy's West is another step in our strategic plan to elevate the retail presence of the Oakley brand,” says Jim Jannard, ceo of Oakley.

Oakley Inc. offers its products to consumers in more than 70 countries. Macy's West, headquartered in San Francisco, operates 137 stores in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Guam.
