Callison LLC (Seattle) has acquired RYA Design Consultancy, an architecture and design firm headquartered in Dallas, and with an office in New York.The new Callison RYA Studio will merge staff and clients into Callison’s existing retail practice at its Dallas and New York offices.

“Combined, Callison and RYA represent the strongest, award-winning retail design practice for renowned global brands,” Callison president John Bierly said in a release. “Together we can provide a full retail consultancy for clients around the world – concept and prototype design, multiple project delivery, branding, graphics, merchandising and real estate strategies among other services – as well as helping to position our store clients as potential tenants through Callison’s design work on mixed-use retail centers around the world.”

RYA specializes in retail design for U.S. and international department store and specialty retail brands. Their clients include Printemps, Palacio de Hierro, Rustans, Parkson and Shinsegae.

Seattle-based Callison has done extensive design work internationally with clients that include Harvey Nichols, Hermes and Seibu Department Stores.
